Can’t understand that. There’s plenty of info in SA not that I’m that interested.
Agree; Channel 7 has lots of airtime devoted to the games, starts at 9am and runs basically all day. Have watched a bit off and on so far.

I had a bad experience (initially) with AirTasker - task had to be done on a set day (hard rubbish collection) and guy committed and had good ratings. On day he was a no show and didn’t answer phone or text.

I reposted the ad and said need someone that afternoon. Had a guy arrive in 40 minutes, did an excellent job (and did more than I was asking) so I paid double what I’d allocated to the task.

I’ll post again in a few weeks for the same thing - I hate carting everything out from the back shed for hard rubbish day!!

When at Uni in the 60s Tom Lehrer was to a few of us bigger than bob Dylan. He turned 90 yesterday-though still today in the US.
I know he did a lot of great stuff but funny, the one that comes to mind is The Vatican Rag.

Whats the deal with lunch time meetings? Lunch is an unpaid break and an entitlement, yet people insist on scheduling in meetings....

What's the obsession with early morning meetings?

It's efficient and for organisations that run teams, especially service type teams, puts everyone on the same page to begin with. My first meeting starts about 7:30am with coffee, cereal and the newspaper in attendance. YMMV.

Not particularly family friendly though.

7:30 is a sleep in

Define early? 0400 hours is early. 0900 isn't.

Totally agree, if arranged in advance and catered and very occasional then possibly acceptable if there is reasonable tolerance regarding working hours. Otherwise it is just time theft by the employer.
