Is it necessary that two people travel? You could earn 400 SC with a return Business Saver ticket ADL-SYD-BNK for $1198 with just 1 person travelling. ADL-MEL-CBR in J is only slightly more expensive and also earns 400 SC return.

Any thoughts on a budget status run from Sydney? I just need one qualifying segment for Platinum - I have enough SC's. Canberra would be most convenient as I can go by train or bus for the return but Port Macquarie seems cheaper? Is it possible to do a "turn" to Port Macquarie and come back on the same plane?

Looks like there's a Biz Saver fare Mel to Port Vila return Jun 1-Jun 3 for $1299 via BNE if anyone wants a tropical weekend with a bit of flying and a lot of SCs (it's either 280 or 320 right? )
If I'm correct it's less than $5 per SC anyways...
