How do you earn 28SC Mel to GC return for the cheapest fares?

I was trying to point a direction.

You can do the same route one way in Flex for under $280 to earn 50 SC but since you have stated you can only travel on the cheapest fare class you need a fifth segment.

Minimum earn on Getaway fares is increasing from 5 to 7 SC on Dec 1st.

There's definitely a register tab, I had some trouble getting it to load on Chrome (all I could see was the 'Book' button), but I registered via mobile then double-checked via another browser.

Standard coughtastic VA website - you'll have to play around with it to show the box where you enter your FF number.

As per the discussion in the Double Status Credits thread, there are some good deals to New Zealand at the moment. E.g. BNE-CHC-BNE in J earns 320 status credits (with DSCs) for $930 round-trip. Similar prices (slightly higher) ex SYD and MEL.

They just had a sale, shame ... but if they have another before then, BNE-CNS-BNE in full J would cost circa $900 for 140SCs.

Yep, might have to wait for another sale or you are looking at around $1100 BNE-CNS-BNE now in J.
Don’t know if it helps but if you can get down to OOL they often have real good value flights OOL-MEL-ADL for around $700 in J that nets you 125SC’s.

Question: For someone who wants to use points purely for upgrades is it better to amass Velocity or Delta?

Like the only thing I'm working toward is a SQ first class ticket. So imI wondering if the delta SkyMiles are more valuable overall due to the amount needed for SQ redemptions.

Looks like I'm going to be in need of 17SC before Feb 22 to keep Platinum. Cursing myself for flying direct instead of connecting on a trip to Europe and using points a couple of times this year as look where it has landed me!!

Any ideas on getting 17SC out of MEL in the cheapest possible way? I was thinking a return to Coolangatta but open to suggestions...
