While the damage is devastating and ongoing suffering to locals will last a long time, I could help but comment about the town “now suffering from very little tourists”. They probably don’t need much room! I hope regular sized tourists will return as soon as possible to help out the economy.We are in Napier NZ cycling. The town is now suffering from very little tourists.
Relocated to Giza this afternoon. Improved view just missing the pyramids. They are visible from the café.

Did you see if the Tutankhamun exhibit is still there? At some stage they’re going to have to move it across to the new museum and there will be a period where the GEM is still not open, and Tutankhamun is not on exhibit at the old Museum.Cairo sightseeing. The new Grand Egyptian Museum is still not open, so we went to the old Egyptian Museum. It was so crowded that we couldn’t really enjoy it and left early.
