The view from my "office"

Did you see if the Tutankhamun exhibit is still there? At some stage they’re going to have to move it across to the new museum and there will be a period where the GEM is still not open, and Tutankhamun is not on exhibit at the old Museum.
We did not see Tut because we left early, but we were told that it was still there.

I'm not surprised. There are international and interstate exhibitors.

We didn't think that it was one of the better years.
We went to the Sculptures by the Sea at Cottesloe today. I will not bother posting more photos of the exhibits as JohnM covered them pretty well. But I would have to agree with his bolded comments above. This was definitely a poorer year than many previous ones.

We went to North Coogee (pronounced Koo-jee here) Dog Beach about 5 km south of Fremantle for an evening picnic. The three dogs, none mine, had a good run and splash before we had the meal and then we waited around for sunset. It was my 4 week old grandsons first picnic - but I don't think he will remember much of it. It was a treat organised by my brother and his wife for the mother of my sons partner. She is on a six week visit from Taiwan to be with her daughter who has just had her first baby.

The sun setting over the Straggler Rocks. Carnac Island is just to the left and Garden Island, with its Naval base is out of frame further to the left.

Yachts from the Fremantle Sailing Club were taking part in their usual mid-week sunset cruise. Rottnest Island is in the background.
