We are in the Taj Towers but have access to the whole complex. Something like $900 for 3 nights, full breakfast and hour chauffeur transport from the airport and Gateway view. Fantastic gymnasium and swimming pool. 20% discount on food and Bev which aren’t expensive anyway. I booked months ago. It’s fully booked out this weekend. Something about cruise ships

Yeah of course but thought that’s self evident. . To most.

It was funny. He was blissfully relaxing then next thing a local family plonked themselves on the other side. You know the sort. People who carry on conversations with each other regardless of the fact they are on the other side of the pool. Child screaming. Mum On speaker phone. He lasted 5 more minutes.

Drive yesterday from Mostar up north along the Croatian border. I miss calculated and had to drive up to Bihac to cross into Croatia. Not all roads crossing the border are open for traffic, probably due to Croatia being Schengen now.
Some wild scenery, it was cool, but looked like it should be freezing.
First one is from Mostar.
This area was declared as Republic of Serbian Krajina, but was overrun by the Croatians in 1995.
Many empty buildings and in some areas all signs had the Cyrillic names removed.

The bailey bridge replacing the destroyed one was at a very popular waterfall spot on the Una river, most vehicles including a bus carried Serb plates. This was where I thought I could cross the border.

Now at Silo on Krk island looking across to the mainland, our last night in Croatia.
The boss says I’m being too critical, but I doubt I will come back to Croatia, for me Sardinia, especially Alghero has more to offer, but as usual, ymmv.
Dubrovnik is nice, but given the number of tourists now, I would hate to be there in high season. Some photos are out of order.
