No!!! They certainly are not … a variety of green chilli found in south India and Middle East .. interestingly, this is not *that* spicy … usually served with day old rice soaked in buttermilk (or yogurt mixed with lots of water) and raw pearl onions as brekkie. Very nutritious and filling. The chilli adds the much needed kick to the otherwise bland rice and buttermilk and the pearl onion gives a subtle sweetness to counteract the chillithought the green things were beans………. NOT!

from when I was younger I understood "lucked in" was good, and "lucked out" meant you tried but didn't succeed.
Now it seems the latter is good and the former is never to be heard.
