I was almost floored when a same day return ticket to BTH was going to cost £471 return for 2 in Y via self ticketing kiosk at PAD😵

Then I realised it was an open return and a more restricted ticket was unavailable. I thought maybe it was like the airlines - discounted fares tend to be advance purchase

After a bit of thinking I checked to see if they had an app and yes they did. Using the app I was able to buy a more restricted ticket but suited our schedule perfectly for same day £137 return for 2pax in Y departing 30 min later

View from my office at Lower Gallery Bay G row E40. The pillar obscured view only if the actor stood on the actor's right corner of the stage which was seldom.

As per usual AFF practice/custom, a seat investigation should accompany any booking. For this I used Seatplan.com

Unless you know Midsummers nights dream well or any of the Shakespeare plays well, I recommend some pre reading. I brought the play (book) along

Yikes. Welcome to the overly and unnecessarily complex world that is UK rail ticket pricing. Some tips here on some of the ways to get cheaper tickets (not all applicable to travellers): https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-train-tickets/

Usually booking in advance can save you money, if you can commit to a specific train.
