The view from my "office"

That's why I moved to London, too.

What kind of MG did you get? I had an upgrade to an MG EHS PHV recently, from the Peugeot 2008 (which I much preferred given the very tight streets around the Cote d'Azur.....). It was OK, but too big for me. The range was pretty poor actually once it used the battery it had.

Oh gosh, it looks every bit as concrete and horrible as I remember it! I'm not sure I get the allure of the place.......

But.......... where is it?
Oh, sorry. Helsinki. Approaching midnight. I was hoping to see the Northern Lights as well but obviously I hadn’t thought things through.

Walking along the park next to the water in Cairns, there was a young couple with 2 kids, one had run through the water sprays there and was saying she was cold. I commented that it was -5 in Canberra that morning and the car doors were frozen shut.
She said, same here, we flew up here from Canberra this morning and had to use warm water to get the car doors open….

Not sure about the model, it’s a largish 4 door suv, so probably a ZS. I’ll double check tomorrow.
The sixt lot was full of haval‘s, smc’s, mg’s, I guess because they are cheap.

Even though I get a discount for sixt through my nrma membership, I’ll check around more next time. Yes, I know I’m biased……..
Although lately for me Sixt is consistently coming in cheapest.

Have you had issues with them when they require you to insure the whole car and not just the excess

In Croatia, Sixti wouldn’t accept anything else but their insurance, it wasn’t that much extra as I also paid to go out of the EU, so she did me a deal. :)

Yesterday Sixt wanted an extra $40 per day, but was ok with it when I declined.

This mornings office, Babinda Boulders just south of Cairns, also Tully and Gordonvale.

Connection is too slow, I’ll add the other photos later.

A PERfect outing on a chilly day today to the WA Museum to check out the very well-curated Egyptian exhibition: from the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden (RMO) in the Netherlands: Discovering Ancient Egypt | Western Australian Museum

The mummy displays were the highlight at the end of the maze, and give an impactful idea of the quality of the curating, but it was all very good. Recommended when/if it comes your way.

Back to frozen cars - it really brought back some memories.

Freezing rain (off the web):
Very easy to keep the beer cold, and within reach. From memory, that was a Dell 385. Who remembers 285s and 385s?

I remember a range of 286 and 386 chip based PCs back in the 1980s, but not as sophisticated as your. The ones I used only had floppy drives, while your one appears to be a hard-disk drive model.
The ones in my office looked like this:

A CPT Word processor using the CP/M OS, with a portrait screen built around foolscap paper size.
NEC_APC.jpg
My NEC APC with twin 8" floppy drives, that came with Wordstar and dBase
