The view from my "office"

Lucky enough to see 2 cassowaries and a chick at Garners Beach, not lucky enough to catch a photo of them.
We did have a good meal at the Bingil Bay Cafe, original German owners a few years ago, hence the bier stuff, plus neat cooling device above some of the tables.

Clump Point, Clump in Irreverent on netflix.

We really enjoyed the series, spoke to 1/2 dozen locals about it, 3 said they hadn’t watched, 1 of those said he was walking by an was paid $200 to be an extra, doesn’t know if was in it or not, nor does he even have a tv!
One said it was ”so so“ received in the area, too quirky, The other was very non committal.
I’m thinking that as it’s a bit of an arty area, and other things(!), they don’t want too many outsiders visiting.

Saw another Cassowary on the main road, but of course it hightailed it into the bush before we could get a photo.

Yes @Flashback it is. There is actually a parking station across the road that is a bit hidden. We haven’t been to the Royal for a while but it is ok if you get there early enough to beat the crowds in summer. Lots of folks go there before the footy at Optus Stadium then walk over the bridge to get to the footy.
