Was meant to be big storms in Romania starting at 3am. By the time we woke up at 5.45 to walk over to the airport they had pushed back to a 2pm start. Phew! Didn't fancy walking in the rain with only 1 umbrella between us

At the LAX office returning back to Australia. Reflecting on how status really makes travel smoother. Despite all the gripes people have I truly think there are tangible benefits.

Thanks to being Marriott Ambassador they managed to secure a very generous checkout after 7pm which is handy for a very late LAX departure…where the hotel threads for the other chains are talking about early checkin fees and consider 1pm generous for checkout.

September usually has a little uptick in weather, so hopefully will improve. That being said, I'm escaping to warmer (very hot and humid unfortunately) climes next week so not back until late September anyway..... at which point it'll be rubbish no doubt.

Although I've just checked the forecast for the next 2 weeks and looks to be sunny and 22. That's perfect - what's your complaint?
