The view from my "office"

How do you count your countries visited? I just checked mine through a website that lists 193 UN countries and came up with 88.
However, how does one deal with countries that don’t exist anymore, i.e., East Germany, Soviet Union, Yugoslavia? Hong Kong, was it a country before but is now part of the PRC? West Berlin prior to ‘89, separate or not?
Surely Taiwan is a country, and I would consider Tibet a country as well, as it was before being invaded by the prc, though neither are on the UN list, I certainly don’t regard them as part of the prc.
Having been to the Sudan before South Sudan was created, can I now count 2 countries instead of one? Questions, questions……. :)
2 lists, one by ISO and 1 by the US Gov State Department. If you remind me / nudge me later I'll send a link to each.

My office today the MH Platinum/First lounge at KUL

Plus ginger bread as Christmas gift.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Edit: oh dear… I think I may have been mistaken for a blogger.o_O

After taking a few photos, someone senior looking offered me a tour.

I was ushered though doors otherwise only used by staff.

We viewed the J lounge then back to the F lounge for some wine tasting and a good discussion about the merits of each of the reds and their vintage.

I’ll post the full story in my TR.

Miss H was terribly embarrassed. That gave me perverse parental joy, but TBH I was rather embarrassed too!

How dreadful to be mistaken for someone in the media! 🤣

How are you feeling RF ? Coping with the cruise so far ??

Stomach-wise, good as gold (meclizine assisted, thanks to @Bindibuys :) ). This morning is the start of the second sea day in a row and I admit to getting a bit bored. I broke out the Netflix last night.

Its going to be a terrible shock when I go back home and don't have multiple options for eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner; not to mention the butler and room attendant.

Packets of Tim Tams going to the laundry people and engine room today.

Well we are in to the final countdown. Our granddaughter is up in bed tracking Santa's sleigh on her iPhone and we are sitting quietly knowing all the presents are wrapped and under the Christmas tree.
