The view from my "office"

St Andrew’s Bay, South Georgia.

Our zodiac was very fortunate to observe a rarely seen Leopard Seal catch and kill a penguin. It then seemed to play with it, leaving it to float while he dived and came back to grab it. The photographer’s zodiac was also there, so I’m expecting to see much better photos than mine.

There were hundreds of king penguins along the shoreline, as well as some fully grown male elephant seals.

Firstly Saigon Airport landing. I was amazed at how close the housing is to the airport being basically on the boundary fence.

And then Perth Airport at at 05:00 this morning. The vegetation is a little dryer than what we have been seeing for the last 5 weeks. After being awake for almost all of our trip back from Germany via Saigon and Singapore today was a bit of a write-off.

You are just freaking kidding me. Golden Harbour, South Georgia

You might just see a couple of penguins on the bottom right hand lobe of this glacier, just above the dark semicircle on the water. Just black dots to show you how large it is and it’s probably only 100 m away.

Meanwhile, on the other side, the parade of icebergs continues.

Of the coast, earlier.

I was going to take an outside shot of your hotel as we saw it on arrival bit decided not to in the end. Home now, didn't even need to open Hive to pre heat the house as it was still at temp after turning it off nearly a week ago. In that regard, love a new build, great insulation!
