The view from my "office"

Yesterday’s office one last time. I will miss this office a lot! But maybe not the bit right at the top, the piste.

These looks like normal poppies grown for poppyseeds.

When I was young I see similar in Europe.
However, later from late 1970 a lot of them didn't mature because enthusiastic addicts harvested them at immature "milky" or green state. 🫢
There have been a number of European tourists die because they thought they looked like “normal” poppies

hi, see drron has already stepped in, but yes, Tasmanian opium crop was first impacted by the wicked Victorians stepping in, and then I think during Covid, the demand for opioids decreased.

Lucky they don't measure on time performance in trip reports. ;)
