I have been following @Port Power and @RooFlyer 's Antarctic trip and this popped up in my FB memories this morning, so I hope it's ok to contribute a retrospective office, from 2016.



The blue arrow is pointing to my tiny ship, Polar Pioneer. A very different trip to the current voyages, with about 50 pax.

Thanks @Major . I've read a number of these pages but no information on how to apply directly. I would have reservations applying via a commercial 3rd party website.

Just contact the airline. Some, like BA, have a dedicated page.

4.5 hour delay in the end so 2x £520 thank you very much!

Fantastic office view, just about to depart Barbados. Annoyingly the delay meant we weren't able to explore town at all which is a shame. But this view...!


Was interesting, as soon as we got off the plane it was on a bus and off to the port. No need to do immigration, one of the benefits of a charter I guess.

Pretty poor bus though.


I think their map is a bit... wrong

I'd never use any of those generic sites to claim, always try direct with the airline initially.

Work underway to duplicate the gondola. The view from those cranes would be just awful on a clear day.


Funicular to the top of one of the ski slopes. Conventional chairlift to the left for those who prefer the traditional way up.



Most properties in Murren have their own veggie patch.



While we struggled to find a coffee on the morning of our visit, I suspect finding a drink wouldn't be a problem later in the day.

That is Longitude Zero, Latitude Zero. Also called Null Island.
Software must have a try catch that sets the coordinates to 0,0 if it can't find the real coordinates.
