The view from my "office"

This office is a series of caves inside Schwarzmonh mountain, carved by subterranean waterfalls.

They're the only accessible underground waterfalls in Switzerland.

The photos just don't capture the power of the water, the roaring sound, mist and just how spectacular it is.

This was easily in the top three things we did during our five-week trip.

From the entrance you can choose seven flights of stairs, or the miners carriage that cuts through the mountain.

That used to be true but no longer. Tasmania had an exclusive right to grow Opium poppy in Australia. From 2014 - 2018 the rest of Australia was allowed into the market. Many Tasmanian poppy farmers left the business.
The majority of the crop was produced for Tasmanian Alkaloids with the big green factory on the Western side of Westbury. It was however a unit of Johnson & Johnson.
A quarter of the crop was processed at Glaxo’s factory at Latrobe where I often worked. Glaxo have sold out to an Indian pharmaceutical company.

Then the double whammy. The US consumed 75% of the world’s opioids until they hit the consumption by regulations.

But don’t worry Tasmanian Alkaloids has changed it’s name to Extractas Bioscience and as well as their alkaloids business now are a producer of Medical Cannabis.
