Wasn’t meant to be here as I was meant to be going Canberra, Melbourne, Christchurch, Dunedin, starting at a way too early 06:05 from Canberra.
I received messages last night at 10:00 pm saying ‘computer says no’. I didn’t see the messages until I woke at 04:00. Now I was going to Sydney, then the rest.
Seems my flight to Melbourne was going to be late and I would miss the next flight.
So 3 1/2 hours to kill in Sydney, but I could be in a worse spot!
Yes, Dunedin, DUD, why? Something that has been on my bucket for years, Rally of Otago on some of the best, if not the best roads to rally on in the world. Pity I’ll only be taking photos…..

Day two of dolphin spotting.

The regatta being held just off the beach didn’t seem to bother them, with a couple coming in quite close including a mother and calf.

QF9 office. Legroom is solid but there really is a lack of storage space. No where to actually put the water bottle seems like a bit of a fail.

I've flown QF9 a few times. Isn't there a bottle holder in the right corner next to where the headphones hang? There is a long "pocket" that runs around the edge. Unless I am confusing the B787 with an A330?

Anyway, far better than a B737!

You're thinking of J. This is Y+. Discovered a little nook next to where ones bum goes not perfect for a bottle but will suffice. It would be remiss to put something like a phone there though.

Reminds me as budding musos in the early 70's we'd drop into Palings in George St (Sydney) and play the Fenders and Gibsons. Bought our first amp there, a 60W Goldentone, no it was an Acetone, from memory. If in Sydney you should drop in to Turramurra Music at Turramurra. Tell 'em prozac sent you you'll be looked after.

Fairmont Gold lounge and Pool
Mrs Jase has gone for a walk and going to do some shopping as she always feels incredibly safe in Doha. I’m going to catch up on some work but I’m the only one in the lounge and with all day drinks and snacks plus Afternoon tea, evening deserts etc they are bringing me plates of food every 5 minutes. The staff are amazing. No alcohol in open areas but you use whatsapp and order drinks to room.
