Today we went to a great Art Museum here in Kawaguchiko. The Itchiku Kubota Art Museum'

And what did we do there?
Well we got high.

It's amazing what a coffee will do for you!

But seriously a hidden gem. great grounds and if fine with views of Mt. fuji. But it is about a fellow who was into tye dyeing. He set out to create 80 Kimonos using the technigues from the 14th century. got to 46 before dieing at age 85 in 2003.
No photos allowed of the kimonos but they were phenomenal and put side by side created a continuous pattern showing the change of seasons on Mt. Fuji.

But the gardens and buildings also magnificent.

This park was not on my Muse itinerary. Sounds, and looks, lovely. I ”like”, but did have a giggle at your segue.

Late post - 11 April office: Alnwick Castle, Garden. Cherry blossom grove made up for not being in Japan. Poison garden tour was a treat and stories were so interesting in that some ordinary plants if ingested enough or the wrong bits can cause death. Killer rhubarb was my particular fav as eating too much of the leaves itself will cause oxalic acid buildup! Used as a strong cleaning agent. Also included is the English yew tree where taxol is recovered to be used as one of the chemo drugs paclitaxel which I'm very familiar with! And the last (funny) story but not really is the laurel trimmings transported in the car taken to the dump and if the windows are not down, cyanide can buildup…..

Are you also going to Craster, Alnmouth, Low Newton etc. Some lovely coastal spots up there.

Mobile office view, Cartagena old town was pumping on friday night...

so the pic seemed to upload but must have been too large at 4.6mb not a latge file in todays world.... all a bit ordinary . any easy solutions ?

Try inserting it as a full image, not a thumbnail.

Thanks john It did not offer me the usual options after upload and i assumed it had not completed
The ship wifi is quite good but sometimes refuses to play video clips so there is some management happening somewhere in the system
I have quite a few interesting office days coming up so will try again

Sorry did not stay local. Even had to bypass Durham which is a wonderful place to visit I’ve been told. Opted for York to get closer to Castle Howard which was my next destination.
I've spent a bit of time in Durham which is a beautiful town. But so is York and it is bigger with more to see.
