Sorry did not stay local. Even had to bypass Durham which is a wonderful place to visit I’ve been told. Opted for York to get closer to Castle Howard which was my next destination.
I found a nice airbnb in Alnwick only 10 minutes walk to the Castle and there is a bookshop I want to check outI've spent a bit of time in Durham which is a beautiful town. But so is York and it is bigger with more to see.
