Servants for this not supplied, as they provide long mats between the sun beds and the water, so one shouldn't get one's tootsies hot or sandy between the two. I eschewed the mats and wore the consequences!

Wow the Shangri la looks fantastic. We have just booked a few days in Muscat instead of Dubai for our stopover next year. Will look at hotels when we return from this trip.

I can recommend the Shangri-La! There are 3 hotels here, next to one another, differing price ranges/facilities. Main drawback is that its the furthest out of town out of town - but then again, you'll need a taxi wherever you go here so its just an increment. It was 42 yesterday!
