The view from my "office"

He did better than I could manage. I didn't leave our accommodation for sunset or a meal.

Going to show hubby this photo, should inspire us to drag ourselves out tonight.

Maybe see you on the trails today!

While on the subject of Easter Island, I should acknowledge the significant generosity of Denali when my friends and I arrived on the island.

Thank you . AFF community is terrific

Our accommodation at Cabañas Morerava is rather basic but comfortable... But, a bit of a zoo.

I currently have a cat on the deck, chickens feeding at the bottom of the stairs and a herd of horses eating the fruit trees and grass. Horses roam free and mostly wild here.

Don't forget a photo of the cat for the 'Cats of the World' thread :)

In the blink of an eye, summer was gone and autumn had arrived.

New York was like that. First week in November. Hottest November day in Boston for years and wearing T shirts. Drove across to NYC and the same. Within a day it flicked a switch and we had to go buy gloves and hats as it was freezing. Wonderful!

34 here for the rest of the week. Still summer here but it takes hours to heat up and then it cools off at night. Very nice in fact.

It's still warm here (30ish all week) but the colours are definitely "fall". Feel a bit ripped off that we didnt get a great summer, but looking foward to a few weeks of Northern summer later in the year to make up for it.

See I told you it was autumn, Pushka :)

Oh just. Just. It ain't Autumn here. This tree has no leaves during winter and it's still nice and green.

My home office view. This is our neighbours McMansion.

Cost around $1.5 million to build. It has an incredibly expensive cellar but owner doesn't drink. Has windows that cost $15k per frame. (Bullet proof?). And it's goddam ugly. This is an older area of Adelaide - old Tudors and some are being redeveloped. Most build 'new old' which look gorgeous.

I do agree that the house doesn't seem to sit well in the area, but I wonder would Kevin McCloud would say - probably that it is revitalising the place.

I think that the area does need revitalizing. The houses that look best are those that are built for the area - there is one a few doors down that is in Federation style? Sandstone walls, tessellated paving, white shutters on windows etc. looks gorgeous and I'd move in in a flash. This one should be at the beach. Or woop woop. Or somewhere - else.
