Those birds are gorgeous. One day I'd like to fly on a plane with them! I've seen one pic and it just looks crazy - gotta be a part of it

A friend is flying through Doha as well in May, on the way to London to the Chelsea Flower Show, but she has a stop over there. I will tell her about the souk as she may be interested in visiting.

Also check out the Museum of Islamic Art, and go for a dhow ride across the bay.

Hours: 0900-1300 & 1600-2000 Sat-Thur & 1600-2000 Fri.

Souq Waqif is adjacent, with the same hours - although the cafes and restaurants are open all day.
