I thought Maria was spectacular on our visit 3 years ago, I walked the island for about 8 hours. Generally loved our Tassie trip, but like anywhere else in the world, a few spots with what am i doing here

How tragic for you Straitman. It must be very hard for you to cope. :mrgreen:

Madrid - one of my favourites! Palace Hotel? Trip Report?

........... whilst consuming bfast in Exec Lounge on 24th floor of Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel - I have posted pic very same view several times before but 2 notable pts today:



1. The very tall building you see under construction is the Z15 tower - details here
2. Sun at its brightest best today - only very minimal haze which in itself quite an event.

Madrid - one of my favourites! Palace Hotel? Trip Report?

Taken from the Cybele Palace - not far from the Palace Hotel. We had a few hours before our train to Seville so walked off a bit of jet lag - we'll be back in Madrid next week. Loved what we saw on that walk. As for a trip report I think it'll be more 'views from my office' and the 'what I ate today' thread Hoping for better weather today to get some good Seville photos. We have a night at your favourite hotel and mine - the Four Seasons HK on the way home.

That flew over my house in Elwood yesterday. It was so low I could see the No Smoking signs through the windows.

Then got better as the day wore on...

But that was easily bested by the view on my next flight MEL/PER last night
