The view from my "office"

Yes, Amaroo said it was a long day but totally worth it. Just trying to nut out the itinerary. Not easy :) especially as we will be there over the high-demand pre New Year I think. Just trying to minimise travel in this period.
The photo is gorgeous though and it is definitely on our 'must do' list.

Can highly recommend the Ryokan here and its traditional Japanese banquet.

Can you post a link to the Ryokan? Potentially back to Japan later this year and I'm after some good ryokans. Stayed in one last time which was very disappointing

This is the view from my home office looking over the 4th at the local golf course

My breakfast office this morning afforded me some spectacular views as I flew over the Kikori Delta (PNG). Absolutely stunning as the river system which pours into this delta is immense with the Kikori River basin covering some 2.2 million hectares commencing at the head waters in the spectacular mountains of Hela Province which receives approximately 5m of rainfall annually. 2nd pic is Google Maps satellite shot of the exact same location.

Here you go: トップページ|信州長野 湯田中温泉 よã‚ã¥ã‚„ã‚¢ãƒãƒƒã‚¯ã‚¹æ¹¯æ¥½åºµã€€å…¬å¼ãƒšãƒ¼ã‚¸

It's quite a large hotel in ryokan style. The two indoor/outdoor onsen are excellent and the traditional banquet was also excellent IMO.

Staying at the Mercure in Chiang Mai, supermarket next door, followed by Miracle Cabaret, at the entrance they have foot massage tanks with skin eating fish, think I'll leave that for another day! Followed by a night club and then there is a Thai boxing arena, what more could you want? :)

Many buses, car park is full, obviously all options are very popular

I shudder at the thought of the nasties that are living in those fish tanks.
