What a difference a couple of months makes!!
Yes, Amaroo said it was a long day but totally worth it. Just trying to nut out the itinerary. Not easy especially as we will be there over the high-demand pre New Year I think. Just trying to minimise travel in this period.
The photo is gorgeous though and it is definitely on our 'must do' list.
Going to Seville and Madrid in September so any tips greatly appreciated
Can highly recommend the Ryokan here and its traditional Japanese banquet.
This is the view from my home office looking over the 4th at the local golf course

Is that a water obstacle I can see????????
It sure is some puddle! It is now. There is a lake which is normally half that size. The edge is near those reeds on the RHS.
Can you post a link to the Ryokan? Potentially back to Japan later this year and I'm after some good ryokans. Stayed in one last time which was very disappointing
The pasted link looks like gobbledegook to me. Should be yurakuan.com.

Staying at the Mercure in Chiang Mai, supermarket next door, followed by Miracle Cabaret, at the entrance they have foot massage tanks with skin eating fish, think I'll leave that for another day! Followed by a night club and then there is a Thai boxing arena, what more could you want?
Many buses, car park is full, obviously all options are very popular
