The view from my "office"

Been absent from this thread for a week or so.

Literally the view from my office car park over the past couple of weeks has been the nesting plovers. Last year they had 2 chicks, but sadly this year it looks like whilst 3 eggs were laid, only one hatched.

At least this couple are wary of humans and lots of calling to each other - whereas at my kids school there were 6 chicks yesterday afternoon and the adults birds were dive bombing us parents on the oval picking up our kids from after school PCYC.

The locals are still playing chess. We were told they are so dedicated that even when they had some -20 degree days last winter they were still out there playing!

Our old photo is in tighter but the concrete/footpath makes me think they haven't moved far!

We are now in beautiful Mostar. We had our dates already worked out for our days here, but had trouble getting accommodation at short notice, and we were told that the Red Bull Cliff Diving Championships are on here for the next two days. They will be jumping off the top of that tower in the middle of the bridge.

Didn't realise that they added the tower on for their championships-have just watched a few videos of dives on the Red Bull site and it certainly adds another dimension from the dives we saw locals make. A couple of great photos you have posted.
