Dont need dinner.

Was at Plitvice national park at the start of the trip. Glad we started from the upper part. By the time we moved down to the lower part (better photos I think), most people have moved on. Not a very relaxing day though as we had only 4 or 5 hours. Will need 2 days to see everything and get good photos. Cant imagine what this place will be like next month.

Nearly went there recently but ran out of time. My view today... watching the Aussies play France in the world cup, play Ireland in the rugby and play England in the cricket. Maple Leaf bar in central London.

My view is Sakura lounge at KIX. Ok as somewhere to sit but certainly not up to Tokyo standard. The food needed replenishing and there were no glasses for G&T.
QF34 delayed 55 minutes. :(
At least not crowded.

And yes, what was I thinking coming with an older friend who doesn’t like Japanese food, was always looking lost, complained that the water for tea was not boiling, never had her ticket ready, and couldn’t make up her mind when buying things etc etc! She said she loved the trip though which is good as she was last here over 50 years ago! I just got a little irritated sometimes but I did behave myself (as always) :) But I do love travel so I had a good time....mostly.
And we’re flying economy

Oh dear. A shame she couldn’t really indulge in the experience. And a bit of a downer for you too.

My definition of a horror story :eek::eek:.

Can't beat solo travel IMO - at the pointy end is a given, of course ;):):).

Good time to visit I guess. A month later this place will be absolutely crazy.

View from last week, Dubrovnik. We went against advice to stay in or near old town but we made the right choice to stay a bit out at the Royal Blue hotel (7 nights in old town would be boring and we both like swimming)

I also don't understand why people rave about Dubrovnik seafood. It's average at best and pricy. We tried so many places and my partner gave up. Australia offers much bettee seafood.

I think Dubrovnik is overrated but we enjoyed the place we stayed and the side trips.
