The view from my "office"

All these silo photos have made me think of my previous life when I was young and fit! So I'll post a few of my silo erections before taking a break again.

First one is in the south of Sweden, the farm owner was a direct descendant of a Swede that managed to do something that neither Napoleon nor Hitler managed, any ideas? The farm also the site of the oldest standing brick building in Sweden.

How it starts in Sardinia

and how it ends,

I went looking for these a few years ago, but couldn't find them, thought it would be easy, but they can be taken down as easily as they are erected.

If anyone have driven north from Arlanda airport on the E4, near Uppsala you may have seen a few more of my erections at the Uppsala University farm.
First and only time I have ever seen cows with holes in their sides to make easy access to their stomachs to take samples of what they had been chewing their cud on. Hole was 'closed' with a plastic 'lid' after the sample was taken, didn't seem to bother the cows too much.

Taken from google road camera.

A final one from Aland, a lovely spot between Sweden and Finland, Åland Islands - Wikipedia

I'll take a stab at managing to invade Russia/Moscow successfully or something along those lines.

I like the unusual so post photos of the Curlys. I'm visiting the Mutura Stick Shed in a couple of days so be prepared to be dazzled.

View this very moment is a painted silo in Patchewollock.

My dad was born in Patchewollock. :) Home of the greatest combine football team ever: Tempy-Goya-Patchewollock.

Rumen fistula. Commonplace in ruminant research to allow sampling of the rumen contents and microbe population for digestion and feed conversion research. I recall doing the operation to insert one in a sheep as a student in an animal science unit.

I vaguely recall seeing this somewhere but managed to block it out. Now it's back, not a fan.

Aha! The 'B' First lounge ...

Last year I had a flight from the SE end of the B gates; it was an 600m/2000' walk from the lounge to that gate.

On the way back, assuming it’s the same routing in reverse, if you have time I suggest scoping the A F lounge, even if it means a bit of a walk. I much prefer it to the B or C F lounges and far less crowded IME.

Where you in EK F or J to DXB and A380 or B777?
