The view from my "office"

Unusual for American Hilton chain hotels, the DoubleTree Milwaukee Downtown allows an item to be ordered off the a la carte menu as well as hitting the continental buffet. The food wasn't the healthiest, but it was tasty!

Dinner was at a bar called Sobelman's on St Paul - it's a bit out of town but worth the visit. Again, extremely unhealthy but oh so good! We tried the Wisconsin cheese curd - delicious. Heart attack on a plate.... Mrs Flashback is well and truly over vegetarian burgers, but said this one is probably the best she's ever had. That's saying a lot, trust me!!

And here we were thinking we had done our last Christmas market for the year... wrong again! It seems Milwaukee wanted in on the action too It was right outside the home of the Milwaukee Bucks (NBA team) and note... no broomsticks, iPads or optical illusions allowed!

@Flashback Go away -:( I'm supposed to be working and now I see this. Had to put the aircon on even though it's only 30 because the house is warm and I'm supposed to be concentrating. Just wait until next Christmas (I hope)
 
I posted up thread on my Spring Beach office - a good surf beach when there are easterlies. That's 15 mins one way. 10 mins the other way is a beach withinthe bay - sheltered, calm, shallow ... Perfect for young kids.

Just went for a walk along there:

Fabulous scene - lots of families, some beach cricket, lots of paddling, some bevvies being consumed by mum and dad as they supervise :). Lovely warm afternoon.

Walking on, there is lots more to choose from!
