If only. I went to City Beach again yesterday and there were still plenty of people.

I go to City Beach when I want to body surf. When the surf's down, I want real solitude or I want to sunbake in a, ahem, more relaxed way, I go to Swanbourne. Most people are too lazy to walk to the most isolated section behind the SAS base. May it remain there forever!

OMG !! Great camera or great photographer ??
Luck. :eek::p

I mentioned in the Camera thread he has a great eye for design. He sees things in simplicity that I don’t. I’ve done the photography courses. He just picks up the camera and shoots. Sigh. A new camera though - Canon EOS that he got Friday. Before that he just used his old phone or a complete insta style camera.

Phew! Thought it was Clive Palmer’s Coolum golf course for a second :)

CP Coolum "RESORT" doesnt look that good !! There was a story on the local Sunshine Coast Channel 7 news two nights ago - the locals are complaining about the vandals - the police have been called 300 times to the resort in the last two years, grass is waist high and neighbours to the property are complaining of rats !!!

Such a shame. Mrs Rugby and I had some nice stays there in the late early noughties.

The Dinosaurs, created for the Great Exhibition in 1851, are gradually being restored. The Park lands, including the terraces for the Crystal Palace it self, are well maintained. I expect CP will be long forgotten 150 years after his vanity project was created, unlike the Palace on the hill in South London.

From Mr Denali, The Leap at Kurnell (Sutherland Shire)

Another one that use to be you would scale down the side of a cliff in scuba gear and then take a giant step off the ledge into the water and there are now stairs and safety warnings.

Once you have stepped off the edge, youre committed until you go around the point back to the beach (to the left). Get it at the wrong tide and you end up in the shipping channel (to the right), heading to NZ.

Near Lillehammer so there for skiing ?
Yep. Mrs H and Miss H are beginners and Hafjell has the third most green runs in the world.

More than 60 per cent of the ski field is either green or blue.

They’re nice and wide for practicing turns and there have been days when I’ve been the only one on a run.

As an indication it’s 11:30am in awesome weather and there is no queue for either of the two beginner pommels...

Okay maybe there’s three people waiting of the one on the left.;)

... and no queue for the gondola.

As for the higher parts... I count four people on this run.

Night skiing is offered to 2000 on Tue/Wed/Thu and is at no extra charge.

And thanks for asking the question @tgh i think this pretty much covers me for needing to do a TR! :p
