Isn’t it a stunning day today. Love Bird in Hand. Sparkling white. And the Lane. Our favourite for lunch.
Haha yes, the wife loves the sparkling Pinot noir from bird and hand and our favourite place for lunch is the lane as well. Lovely views over the vines and great food and a nice sparkling called Lois

And which I have in my wine rack at home. The Lois and Bird in Hand. One of each.

The Red Baron seaplane, which I took a ride on over the Swan River last summer, has clearly been granted ultra-low-level flying (I'd say <100 feet; certainly way lower than the shark-spotter helo), and only just offshore along the PERfect coast this summer. I was part way through my run this morning as it swooped towards me. That big radial engine has a great rumbly note.

It made two trips S-N and return between 1000h and noon. The second was much longer, so I'm guessing it went all the way from Fremantle to Yanchep and back.

I may have to take another ride in it :).

And I captured some evidence to repudiate any assertions that I am a heartless b@stard ;):D:D.

To provide a bit of balance from all of the sunny photos, I'd thought I'd post a few from my weekend in London. I picked Blackfriars as I hadn't stayed there before, and it's a interesting place with a lot of regeneration going on. But, then there was the weather.
The train trip in from Dicot was quick and I landed at the station, but no bear to be seen

I then headed around on the tube to Southwark Station. The old station entrances are interesting, including the shrapnel damage from WW2

The streets in the area are a mix of the old and the new - plus within a few minutes I went from grey skies to blue, and back again

Sunday, however dawned gloomy and predictions of wet weather, snow etc. I decided an Indoors day would be best. I wasn't in an arty mood, so I gave the V&A and the Tate a miss, and headed over to the British Museum, where I worked out it had been 40 years since I was there last - a few things had changed

The inside, which I remembered as an open square has changed

It was a good day wandering around. You could pick a theme say Romans, find the exhibition and get your fill, and then out to the coffee shops, regroup and pick the next topic 'Clocks & Watches' (nerd heaven) and so on. That took me through to the late afternoon, and then back on the tube to the station, and still no bear
