The view from my "office"

Don't waste your time, it's rubbish. Mrs FB and I both left ours onboard. Going over we were the last day before the change, so got the Liberty one. She liked it and ended up using it like a clutch bag for most of the trip as it had that handy carry handle!
DAMN BA changing them .... I love the Liberty ones - and I use it as a clutch purse when we go to dinner !! Looks like I had better bring one with me then !

Claudia, the FA attending the bar, and who o nicely arranged the contents of the kit, tells me that the ladies’ kit varies only in that the decorative flourishes are red. The contents are the same. She says all of the ladies’ kits have been handed out, so she doesn’t have one to show me.
Claudia assures me that the Castellano Monte Vibiano products are very nice on the skin. I never use those things. The unused kit, plus the products from the previous flight’s kit, is yours if you want to PM me where to send it.

Thanks JohnM but I dont need any more kits ! Now enough of this idle chit chat I have to drive to MCY and pick up my husband - he is flying home from DPO.

Oh and I was glad to see a nice NZ Sav Blanc on your wine list :):)

If you can find the picture in the office thread of check in at Pokhara airport you may just see one being held in her left hand ;)

I didn’t even think about it. I only mentioned it because there’s a recent thread that talked about it.

Want to join me on my trip to Chad next year? ;):p

Currently I’m hanging somewhere over the ocean SE of Oman after leaving DOH about an hour late because of a medical off-load and consequent ATC delay, and carefully skirting around the UAE.

Somebody say Chad? I'd love to join you. Another country the boss has been to and I haven't. :(

For those unfamiliar with the J bar on the QR A380.
I would have liked to have been in the meeting where the decision was taken to install a bar instead of seats.
I imagine vigorous argument between accountants on one side and booze-loving marketers on the other side of the conference table.

In 10,000 year's time, our civilisation will not be judged by the seat density and economic return, but by the allocation of a holy space, on an archaic transportation device, for worshippers to pray to the god Bacchus.

Considering that its a Gulf airline, that discussion would have been an interesting one :) I love the QR in-air lounge/bar (not just with QSuites). It really works as a chummy place to mingle and relax; really nice nibbles and of course an open bar!! Only a month or so to my next experience of it

They actually call it a lounge. My bad for the ‘bar’ shorthand.

It’s a space for stretching the legs, having a snack or any type of drink, or some social interaction. It’s also quite good for being in a space with natural light with all the window shades open. They have been fairly universally shut in the cabin for the whole flight. I find that a bit overbearing after a while.

Ahh. I miss my A380 to BKK. Usually fly QR there once a year from EU but now it's only 777, A330 and A350. A350 is OK but no lounge on board.

I think I found it - blue? :)

With red backpack, yep, that's the one.

Actually, there is a very practical purpose behind all this traffic.

It’s showing that the QR WiFi is holding up very well way out over the Indian Ocean.

It’s very nice to be able to pass the time on AFF while up here :).

SLOW lounge in CPT. The SLOW lounges are the domestic lounges BA (Comair) use in SA. IMHO, there are far better than the QF dom J lounges and reason enough to fly BA in SA. Food offering is exceptional (buffet).

The on to the not so great stand in aircraft for the BA flight to JNB. 737 classic. Legroom didn't really exist. Thankfully only a short flight. Although a hot meal was still served which wasn't bad.
