The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

Management of RooFlyer Gawker Industries continues its tour of South American assets, this time heading over the river to check out the Argentine based office. (Check out the staff at the left of the first pic.)

Good work!

I just made a booking PER-BNE in late July and the seat selection is showing the new config. Hope it holds as it will be my first time in the new dom J.

Ok.. now I understand why it's special.. is this the new domestic QF long haul? Thank you Boomy for giving us a preview :)
But.... for someone who used to travel long haul MEL-PER a lot.. VA has been doing (possibly better than) this for some time..
The million dollar question is... Is there champagne??? :) :)

It's the new dom J. MEL-PER is not long haul (although I guess it may seem that way to some over there ;)) - it's a mere doddle for a PER-ite.

Steady is the gun on getting the new seats on his perambulations to PER ;).

No way you'll get Champagne on dom flights.

Champagne and amenity kits on VA :) With (depending on aircraft) big, plushy, white, leather, lie flat seats (all VA J PER-MEL have the convenient lie back without inconveniencing other passengers seats ... sure there is a name for that in AFF land but you know what I mean) and big screen TVs.. it has been a while MrM.. but I'll let you know in June if it is still the case :)

Is it truly Champagne - ie. French? If so, which one?

Wait, do they offer real champagne or the cheap imitation from Tassie? If it's the former I better go and dust off my Red VA card :D

Yes, real (French) champagne! Can't remember which one though, as I'm not a big fan and it wasn't something I recognised. I liked it though. This was in January, so it may have changed!

re: The view from my "office"

Champagne only comes from the Rheims area in France. Not just "from France." :p

Indeed true - from the Champagne region, within which Reims is located. There are other sparkling wines from France that are cannot be labelled Champagne - notably the various large-production sparklings from the Loire Valley.

Originally it was Piper but last time I flew (December last year) it was Lanson :)

And MrM.. You should know me better than that by now!
Boomy.. Get dusting lol

I think it was Lanson when I flew a couple of years ago, but was this when I flew in January:
