The view from my "office"

That NP "salad" really is an embarrassment though I know the 5 rocket leaves with balsamic option is not unique to QF. I reckon if you are going to go to the effort of throwing something into a small dish, why not dollop a spoonful of something interesting like red cabbage and apple slaw with Neil's special mayo or perhaps Neil's rustic smoked bacon egg and potato salad.... Maybe use the salad serve as a means of promoting australian regional produce...ie this month QLD potatoes and riverina tomatos? Those vege farmers could do with some help given the drought. Pretty sure the DNATA kitchen could whip something up. 🤪

I’m hoping for some photographs from holidays in Hawaii where I’m sure many of our exhausted firefighters and people living in fear for weeks and the next few months of what our fire ravage country throw at them, where they’d prefer to be.

Having been through a few fires myself, can tell you Hawaii was the last place I'd wanted to head to... I think at this time of year all AFFers are thinking of our firefighters and other hard working volunteers, and those people at risk, facing another long hot dry summer.

Well, it seems that some want to go there and have done so.

Presumably not because of Volcanoes, but beaches. Personally, if it was still summer time, I would want to be holidaying close enough to duck back to defend against any new fires.
Meant to add this pic - the view from the bed room. Any fire has certain dangers when you are this close to the bush, so no point in being too far away during fire season unless essential. This shows the cooperation between Landcare and Council locally to keep us all safer.
