We currently have an extended stay with out daughter and family. They are housesitting just outside San Miguel de Allende Mexico with 4 dogs. The house we are sitting is 'interesting' to say the least. It's (sort of) owned by an older US couple who unfortunately have let it run down somewhat. It's taken a week but we are now winning the battle with the coughroaches. 🥴
This is a development on 18 acres that was originally started by Anthony Quinn. Unfortunately only 7 of approximately 80 houses were built as they never got the water rights sorted correctly. Of those 7 there are 2 owned and lived in (without titles), one rented and the caretakers residence. The others are empty. Very unfortunate as it would have been really great.

Santa on his day off.
This is actually Colin, an eccentric old man who dresses as Santa and who drives the Santa car around to functions, schools orphanages etc. Sue and our granddaughter are helping him on a couple of outings this week.
He has permission from the Chief of Police to drive the car and is well know throughout the area. After Christmas the car is redecorated for the next celebration which is Valentines Day. Then .....
In his own words it has become an obsession.

One of Santas bears having a rest

For obvious reasons I have not included a picture of Santas (Colins) house though I have to say we are going to be honoured to have Christmas lunch there this year.

Kaohsiung, Taiwan - nice little town, very chilled out and hardly a (Western) tourist in sight.
