The view from my "office"

The next stop was Taipei, we went up yesterday (Christmas Day). A bit of a chill day and a well needed early night. That catches us up and brings us to today! Today's office saw us visit Maokong and visit the Tea Houses / Farms, lots of trails around there. Taking the Healthy Trail....... well, let's just say it will keep you healthy if you do it often enough :)

We were in Christchurch just before and after the big earthquake in 2011 so we looked around a bit today. So much is rebuilt/being built but the locals are positive and so many cafes and restaurants and bars.

Love how the rebuild includes lots of side streets and alley ways, hidden gems to be found.

I consider myself a good cook but I don't cook or eat lamb so hubby has been thinking about today's lunch since I booked flights back in July.

And this is all they do and they do it well but they are reopening a tapas bar in the city.

The smile of a greek man whose wife refuses to cook lamb... which means he doesn't have to share this meal.

People, get someone that smiles at you like this man smiles at a slow cooked lamb roast.

We first discovered Pedro's when he first started operating out of a container in a liquor shop carpark (after earthquake that destroyed his business and his son died) and he was lovely, so it was sad to be told he passed away a year ago but Pedros now have outlets in Queenstown, Christchurch and Auckland so if lambs your thing, it's a must do. Grab a pack, bread and salad and head to a park. Invite my hubby, he'll be grateful.

Then it was roll a stuffed but satisfied hubby back to our hotel for a nap and some plane watching
