So I went on the short hike (only 250 feet of elevation) and while my lungs complained a bit I made my way through it, hopefully over the worst of this COVID rubbish and can start to enjoy the rest of the holiday.

This weekends Queenstown office - before the masses arrive for the ski season.

There are still some pretty parts of Queenstown, the rest presents to me as a burgeoning sprawling metropolis crawling with human ants and a blight on a once beautiful landscape.

Annual neighbourhood bonfire and drinks (Gluhwein, homemade whiskey etc), before some flit off to warmer climes for the winter (soft!). Its a great neighbourhood

We need 14 columns but apparently that's not a good number so now we have 15 columns.

Balcony in front, living room, 2 bedrooms (one for wife, one for daughter), Thai kitchen and a bathroom. We also have a standalone garage for my golf transportation.

The view from my 'taking it easy' for the last few days office.

First up...... some bush plane flying in Fairbanks.

Sternwheeler Discovery III, Fairbanks.

Smoked salmon, done the old school way.

Sled dogs.

But of course the trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to the North Pole....... where every day is Christmas!



After an overnight stop at Delta Junction (umm....... only really stop here if you really have to!) it was a long drive to Valdez, so that was broken up with a hike out to the Castner Glacier Ice Cave.

I played Gassan Panorama before my daughter was born when it re-opened. Now it has matured into a stunning golf course.

Water in play on every hole. Not a difficult golf course. Had a leisurely round in 2h 22m today made all the more easier with 11 pars.
