What's the treatment of the timber, Pushka?
It hasn't been treated yet as it's just been finished but it will be oiled by the builder. They also need to install blinds and two sliding doors and paint the balustrade. . About 70% done but being in the country it takes its time. It's a natural timber look right now

And a before picture of same location 5 weeks ago.

Hmmm .. I'm sure you've researched it, but :) ... I had a large (45m2) deck built at my holiday house (full sun) & had it oiled. Needed to clean it every couple of years and re-oil. Cleaned it myself with a kartcher, Over the years the cleaning got a bit uneven and with the re-oiling, the deck become splotchy; increasing over the years. Not awful, but I made the mistake of looking at pics of when it was new and then ... .

Anyway, oils may differ in characteristics and duration these days, AND yours appears to be largely under-cover, but if much exposed, possibly be prepared for some elbow grease to clean and re-oil or, better, have it done professionally (I was too tight to have that done 🤣 )

Yes. Makes sense. They did say sun is the worst and it gets that. Figure that after a few years our eyesight won’t even register. Or we will forget what it looked like. 😂

My rental agent called mine "shabby chic" And I had the early publicity pics on the rental web site

PER QF J lounge. Not busy. Nice and tranquil. Just what you want from a lounge.

Also happy to report that security scanning situation has been resolved. Work was completed two weeks ago. Priority line is back. Virtually no queue this morning. Only one scanning in operation and was quick, but there are heaps available now. Also no need to remove laptops now!
