Booked a Suite on high floor at Marriott Frankfurt and got all excited when I saw this in elevator on way up:

It’s always interesting to note the different building practices. They build the concrete frames then fill in with bricks. Not done here in AU
I can’t see a concrete frame? In Western Australia we build with double brick. Not brick veneer after timber frames. (Well, some metal framed brick veneer in Kalgoorlie now.)
 
Have a look at the brick wall
Looks like metal window and door frames. Just a concrete corner pillar. A bit hard to tell, of course. And it looks like a concrete slab above ground level. A single brick garage wall in house on the right.

Edit. Sorry, I can see there is concrete where I thought door frame at first. I can’t tell if the house if frames with concrete, though. I am interest to see it first hand.

A West Aussie friend who now lives in Germany built his house the WA way. Caused quite a bit of interest locally.
