Hawaii or Micronesia (except no QF flight). Reminds me of a bar in Yokohama in the 70's/80's called The Windjammer owned by an ex marine. He was a clever fella and would buy a round of Mai Tai's every couple of rounds to keep you going. Similar construction concept in India too. The foundation is dug really deep, then concrete columns with iron rods are built. Then a brick, cement slab, then the frame/layout, then the walls. Before painting walls cement is applied to both inside & outsides.They dig the foundation and then lay concrete slab.
