Is it only me who looks at the water running down the sides of those hills and thinks, ... whisky?
People say you have to visit Europe in summer. I think there is nothing better than driving in a warm rental when the weather is inclement. Adds another dimension to he experience.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday there’s an ice bar operating near the summit at Coronet Peak.

It’s offers beers, a BBQ and mulled wine.

My maternal grandfather worked for NSWGR and was a member of the design team that designed 38 Class locomotives. When I was a child, my parents would often take me to the railway station to see one of the 38 class locos (I think "The Daylight Express") coming through town on its way to Albury.
