The view from my "office"

A couple from my Sunday afternoon walk office.

First up, seagulls photo-bombing my sunset pic.

Full moon rising over the Port of Brisbane.

I waited patiently for an Alliance Fokker on final for 19R hoping for my first ever “plane in front of moon” photo.

Nailed it!

Not bad with a phone.

The people lining the foreshore with fancy cameras had some stunning shots.

Went back tonight for another attempt.

Moonrise was an hour later today so photos were more difficult.

The tiny flare you can see to the left of the moon is the tail of VA337:

Off on the next adventure. Neither of these chariots are mine. A trusty A332 to CGK and onwards.

I’d not really appreciated that the JQ 788 are quite shorter than than a 789, albeit by ~6.5m.

JQ CBR-MEL. 1240h departure delayed to 1245h.

Ticketed booked using QF points on QF website. I read somewhere that if the ticket is booked from QF, there is a FF code that is printed on the BP? Is this true? I couldn’t find any codes on my BP that relates to QFF.

I had OBEX - which I’m not sure what it is. Did look up the What’s the codes on JQ BP mean, cant seem to find the OBEX, unless I missed it somehow.

As I booked this from QF I got 23kg check in bag. I was expecting a BGxx on the BP, but BG23 was not printed on the BP. Inconsistent?

Asked at check-in if they do courtesy blocks and the agent was *sort-of* surprised that I asked for this? Not sure her reaction was like “how do you know that”. Anyways, she was more than happy to move me to row 2 from row 20-something with a shadow.

Suffering in the office as the only Krug drinker onboard today

I was once the only Dom drinker in EK F DXB-PER. Two pax; the other one slept all the way.

I had just come out of two weeks in dry (in both senses) Sudan with a fierce thirst.

That, plus the reds with dinner, hit me - hard - once I stood up.

I'm very, very lucky I got back into the country...
