I was dithering over buying tickets in advance for that exhibition for my late Jan visit, but youve cured meNational Gallery of Victoria yesterday. Yayoi Kusama exhibition. Unfortunately all tickets for the day already sold when we got there. I had checked on line at the end of last week and heaps available so thought I would be smart and use our NGA reciprocal rights for cheaper tix and buy tickets at the gallery - LOL - won't do that again! Will go down to Melb again to go to exhibition.
Well, that’s a pro tip.LHR ... First wing security is quite busy today. Enjoy it while it lasts ... always quicker to go landside and clear security again when transiting rather than using transfer security. Plus, easier to get a shower at the arrivals lounge too.
Tang in the New Year at Marina bay. A short walk from the hotel. This morning’s office view is not a car park. Bluebird day for courtyard brekkie at the oldest hotel exiting now in Singapore according to the hotel’s historian followed my a late morning swim before checkout.
Wishing all Happy New Year 2025.
Glad to see the drop of oil on the sign to make it authentic.1934 Excelsior Patherfinder

New year's eve in Rutherglen was spent doing a couple more vineyards (bet that came as a surprise!) Breakfast was at the Caffeine Machine (Rutherglen) which along with good value melas and great coffee, an amazing collection of vintage motorbikes and cars. View attachment 423276

We spent new years at the Poachers Inn then over to the Star for the countdown. Did the 10, 9, 8 then everyone was kicked out! Funny as! Was good to be home at a reasonable time for shortish drive back to CBR.

MsProzac also in Nashville for a week.Last nights office. Big Bash NYE concert Nashville. Over 100k people. We may have stood for 7 hours to get into the front pit. Despite frostbite to toes and fingers , was worth it. Even managed to say gday to Keith Urban, that’s him and Nicole on stage just before the midnight countdown nView attachment 423343View attachment 423344
We were going to do the festival last year but the only accommodation we could find was out of town and according to the locals, the festival is manic. The 'hop on hop off' bus is very appealing, you cover more wineries and don't have the hassel of driving.Glad to see the drop of oil on the sign to make it authentic.
Rutherglen is a favourite region of ours. I don't know if you have ever checked out the Food & Wine Festival at Rutherglen on our March long weekend. They use buses to get you around, so no driving.
Not sure Cossie. The bikes were there when we visited in June 2023. Definitely worth a visit. It's been a while since we were there, I'm guessing the motorbikes are newish? Will have to go back.
That bakery in Chiltern seems to be famous....
