agreed! i'll be dropping by in 2 weeks to luxuriate

sets the bar high for the QF F refurb - was there on saturday morning and it is very sad, only 2 pax, food selection worse than the Plaza Lounge. think they should probably downsize it, enclose more of it to improve the ambience and enhance the dining.

The Champagne bar, open areas and Cabanas look fantastic The Haven resembles a uni cafeteria in its utilitarian decor from the picture in the AusBT article Maybe it has more character in real life ?

Reinvigorates my romance in transiting through HKG when I next have the chance (and when I can still be / retain / regain Platinum!)


The old lounge, after you visit it a few times, seems to be rather bland. Even the QF First Lounge, bar the lack of services and food, was looking OK.

CX said there would be a makeover - they delivered, this is a real makeover.


I expect nothing of the sort from QF for the HKG F Lounge. All I expect is that they have an open roofed space, so some comfy seating which will be more or less quiet (more because it is not the lounge of choice).

Sadly the gates below the open-air QF F lounge are A380 ones, had hundreds of screaming kids on Sat morning...

I would be visiting over easter but since QF canned HKG-PER i rebooked on SQ bah so sad, im flying QF up though but the lounges in PER are cough.

Very exciting, love the champagne welcome bar, though Moët is an interesting choice (first world problems)

However I loose my WP status at the end of Feb, only way I'll see this is via an F award ticket.
