They forgot to load the F champagne

If the wines are what we sampled at the Sips and Sliders event, they aren't too impressive anyway...

I've got a couple of 3K flights over the weekend, wound't surprise me if their selection comes within range of the so called QF F experience!

Can I just throw a little cold water on the flames here and state that I've never been on a QF F Flight where there wasn't the required amount of or correct type of Champagne ?

The plural of anecdote isn't evidence etc. but I'm sure I'm not alone here in saying this

Depends if your QF F flight actually has water to throw

I've done my fair share of QF F flights, although I couldn't care less about the bubbles ... I certainly do when it comes to wine. It's been a repetitive failure on all fronts.

I'm sure it doesn't happen 99.9% of the time. But mistakes do happen. And I'm sure you wouldn't be impressed if it happened to you.

Oh I'm not saying I wouldn't be impressed. Mistakes do happen, it's just that threads like this take off and all of a sudden no QF F Flights serve Champagne or some such nonsense gains traction amongst the masses when it's clearly not true for the vast majority of the flights.

So why repeat the experience if you are continually served poor wines ?

Genuinely interested in the answer to this.

You make plenty of sense there. People do make mountains out of molehills. Having been on the receiving end of a massive service fail from QF where plenty of people dismiss you out of hand because "that hasn't happened to me so it wouldn't happen" I get where the OP is coming from.

Ok, so the F Flights are FASA's.
Crystal clear now :)

Of course - do you purchase full freight F flights?

I'll only purchase revenue F flights on special e.g. buy J fly F.

Genuinely intersted in the answer to this.

I'm not sure that's what is being said, more that "it hasn't happened to me therefore it's not a problem". Of course I'm sure it will be a problem if/when it does happen!

there was a lengthy discussion about this issue a year or so ago? Champagne running out or not loaded. The QF rep had a look into it and said it was all solved... only for people to report it had not, in fact, been resolved at all.

I had two flights back then where there was limited or no champagne loaded in F, including one flight ex AU.

So this is not a new issue, it is just unfortunate it is cropping up again.

One wonders where the focus is? Introducing simpler and fairer? Introducing Red Planet or Apple watch apps?

Or actually providing a fleet, schedule and product that is advertised?

These days business class on most airlines is perfectly acceptable. For me first is all about the wow factor and feeling special. I want wine which is an experience I don't get at home. On My last CX first the St emilion was USD 200 per bottle ex tax, which made me feel very special. Being served average wines in First is a real blow to the overall experience.

The vast majority of my F Flights are upgrades but I've purchased revenue F flights if the price is right.

Kind of, sort of but not really. I stated that it hadn't happened on any of my flights but used the data anecdote to state that I realize that my experience alone isn't evidence that it doesn't happen.
I don't think from my experience and from what I have read here and elsewhere that the problem is widespread.

That's not to detract from the fact that it shouldn't have happened on the OP's flight or indeed anyone's flight.
And absolutely if it happened to me I wouldn't be happy.

As for the inference that I think the OP is lying, there is nowhere in any of my posts that I have inferred this and I apologize to the OP if they have perceived this from any of my posts as that's certainly far from the case.

Oh, it's just that I got the feeling from your post that you were insinuating that FASA were somehow inferior.
