JQ are using AVV as a LCC terminal, however ONLY for travel betwixt AVV and SYD/BNE/ADL/PER*.

Note that TT decided to use the old LCCT at MEL rather than go to the bush.

(*PER will soon be 100% via AVV)

That's right, but I'm not sure that NTL (where both TT and D7 have shown interest in using as a main NSW base) could really be used in relation to SYD in the same way JQ (and in the future D7) use AVV in relation to MEL.

TT and D7's use of OOL as opposed to BNE seems to work well enough, but without a viable alternative in NSW, Sydneysiders may continue to miss out on these LCC's.

Whether that's a bad thing or not is up to personal opinion.
