TomCat's new digs!

Do you have fixed site costs for your excavation and concrete? Just got our invoice in and another $6k unfortunately! A mix of extra concrete, sand and excavation as well as removing some old stuff the demo contractor left behind.

At our Melbourne business premises we found next doors gardener was using our garden tap to water their garden. We fixed it with a style of tap that he would not be able to use. Problem solved on why our water use had risen. We checked everything inside and then realized nothing was leaking.
That is damn cheeky.

We made sure our site costs were fixed, so no extra costs for rock etc. I know others in our estate had issues where their block was where the previous wind break was, lots of tree roots etc. Our seems to be standard soil, no hidden nasties.

Know that feeling well, that's what we have decided as well. A little behind you on the painting though.

Now the 12th is tomorrow @blackcat20. Do you think you'll get that final sign-off?

Permit is due tomorrow but we still have two variations in the system...so who knows

I blame TomKat for this. I keep thinking of them as I go off buying paint, taps, tiles and so on. We also have to rebuild carport and cover, crack work inside, currently upgrading the laundry myself, dig up a concrete verandah (not me), repaint ground story (not me), replace flooring in at least 3 rooms and knocking down an interror wall.

Wonder if TomKats house will be done first. My aim is done by end October.

Fantastic news. I was a bit scared to pop in and check. ;)

And guess what. Just had an email to say we're ready to go to the construction team once we sign the last variation. Turns out they want to bill us for the basic aircon unit that we had removed eight months ago. Someone can't do their math. So theyre getting that fixed, we get it signed and then we get handed over hopefully by 5pm. :D
