TomCat's new digs!

I seem to remember advice to test before accepting completion. Things like turn on all the taps at once, flush all the loos, test every power point, light switches (incl that you got the right light bulbs eg warm white and cool white wherever you want them. That sort of thing. What other things were people advised to check?

Anyway, it’s fab for you having a new house.

Pulling out drawers and opening and closing cupboards.

And easier to clean, don't have to stress about the grout.
Now you mention it, ages ago I put a glass placemat at the base of my cooktop which means when it gets grubby it pops into the dishwasher.

That's going to be the stove against the window, isn't it ... with room for a range hood above? Sink in the island?
Yes 900mm freestanding stove in front of the window and sink in the bench . I'll post a pic shortly .

I've got a window like that in my kitchen although it has just a bench in front. It too looks over a short distance to the side fence (shrubs against).

I ended up putting a frosting film over it, as the side of the house is accessible from the street (I'm in a 'no fence' place ... its rural :)) and I couldn't get over the thought of some-one looking into the house at night (or any other time for that matter). Outside of the place has sensors and lights around most of it, but still ..

We'll have a fence along that side (and a gate) so its secure. Thinking of planting a herb wall on the fence for something green to look at. Fence is 1.95m too.

This is our laundry; standard is just a trough but we added cupboards below and above.

Better view of the oven side of the kitchen. Would you believe the overhead cupboards are not standard?? IMG_8540.JPG

Our ensuite. Large shower to the left. All the waterproofing has been done. Left sink is mine, right is TVs.
