You cant cook with fake plantsGet yourself a fake or moss wall, save yourself the heartache.
Love the doors in the laundry, I have that on my wish list just for light and fresh air.
For a moment I didn’t see that there is a cover over the right basin. Thought TV is being done here! We'll have a fence along that side (and a gate) so its secure. Thinking of planting a herb wall on the fence for something green to look at. Fence is 1.95m too.
This is our laundry; standard is just a trough but we added cupboards below and above.

Better view of the oven side of the kitchen. Would you believe the overhead cupboards are not standard?? View attachment 133001
Our ensuite. Large shower to the left. All the waterproofing has been done. Left sink is mine, right is TVs.

Everything looks fabulous.
Edit - it’s August already so really on the count down now.
And easier to throw out those cooking mistakes.Half the price of a glass splashback for some weird reason. Plus natural light is a win .
What mistakes? And easier to throw out those cooking mistakes.
Sometimes I really wonder about the brain behind some companies. Do they just assume they can do that or are they so thick they don’t know what they’re doing? So one of the companies I approached for a fencing quote has gone and sent it to our neighbour without running is past us. I already sent that neighbour a notice to fence with a quote for the company we've booked. Unimpressed that theyve just made an assumption that we'll be using them. The only upside is that quote is more expensive than the one I provided to hopefully it wont cause any complications.
Update: theyve withheld the quote, but asked me to "confirm I'm cancelling the job" even though I've never agreed to use them
I do wonder as well. How does one cancel something that was never booked? Was all very presumptuous.Sometimes I really wonder about the brain behind some companies. Do they just assume they can do that or are they so thick they don’t know what they’re doing?

Certainly leaves a bad taste...wasn’t keen on them anyway but our other neighbour was until I got a quote from another company which we’ve booked in.Give them a serve and point out that they were in the running until they went off piste.
Maybe that will serve as a warning next time they try it on?
Numpties. One should never assume. Although now they can assume (correctly) they’ve lost any chance of winning the job. As for canceling the non-existent job - they can whistle DixieSo one of the companies I approached for a fencing quote has gone and sent it to our neighbour without running is past us. What a pain. Hope they can work out some way to remedy it. Though I do think it looks fine, not the point I know as it is your place and I suspect it will continue to annoy you as it is.Sigh. They rendered the bricks around our front door despite the fact we paid extra to have brick there wasn't like that last week so not sure who decided that was a good idea and not sure how they're going to fix it because I really don't like it .

Tried to sell it to myself but it's not working. I really like our bricks and the brick work around the door was top notch. Fortunately they still have bricks on site so hopefully worst case is they redo that section. Not sure how easy its going to be to get them to do that though. What a pain. As it was in the specifications, you are well within your rights to demand it to be put right. How they do it is their problem not yours. Along the same lines a cousin of MrLtL had a house built in the UK and when she did a walk through they had put the wall tiles in the ensuite upside down (they had a pattern). They tried to talk her into accepting them but as she said, it was going to continue to annoy her and she had specified what way up they were to go, so that they had to remove them all and replace them correctly. I would be standing my ground if they get a bit iffy on you, though you did say that your site supervisor was very good so maybe it will be an easy thing. I think it’s annoying the way the human eye/brain zooms in on the one tiny thing that isn’t right and kind of ignores all the good bits. It’s hard to know how the render/bricks will impact once everything else is in place; it’s like when you are painting you notice every tiny imperfection but when the distraction of furniture comes in you can’t see it as much. Hope it works out for you in the end BC.Pups weren't too cooperative

Everything else about the build has been really good .The weird bit is that the Portico was rendered correctly last week but someone since then has decided to render that part of the house .
Our Harry Potter aka wine cupboard has also been installed since last week .
