TomCat's new digs!

Bugger. I am working this weekend.

If you want to put the moving on hold for a couple of weeks I can help out then. ;)
Not going to happen!

It's funny, way back when our slab was poured I predicted November 9 as our finish date....

And I think even the weather will be perfect if Adelaide is anything to go by. Are all the utilities up and running? And a tip. Carry a small separate box of glasses, cups, soft drinks, tea/coffee, milk, biscuits, kettle, toilet paper and soap. And a small seat. Makes supervising so much better ;) and you won’t have to wait for these things to be located and unpacked when you need them

Yes everything is connected except internet. NBN is in but we havent sorted out a provider yet.

Taking the kitchen stools with me to handover tomorrow so we can sit at the bench. Our things from the current kitchen (our mugs, tea etc) will be easily carried in on Saturday. Must buy loo paper today as we're just about out  The challenge will be finding which box our kettle is packed in....

Maybe buy a very cheapie from Kmart? I remember the best coffee I’ve ever had was the day we moved in, exhausted, and had an instant moccona coffee. Who’d have thought.

It should be near the front of the pile of boxes, as it would have been one of the last things packed. I'll see if I can spot the box as its being loaded into the truck.

I think we're just about organised. Couch is arriving Saturday and dining table Sunday. Security door is installed Monday. Just about finished updating my address everywhere (except Telstra because they dont think it exists ). Pet rego transfer paperwork sent to the council.

Had my check up yesterday and bub is looking good (a real wriggler) so all good there too.

First thing that would go up if it were me would be the TV sound system and the remote would not be packed in a box. Not to veg out but to test the sound in whatever room it is going in. The rest are just "ancillaries";)

I’ve packed basics in the car for tomorrow:
Kitchen stools
Towels
Sheets
Toilet paper
Bathroom bits like toilet roll holders and towel rails

TV won’t have signal till we sort out connections so not such a priority. Netflix etc are fine though.
Just need to empty our fridge and turn it off.

Always a good idea to number the boxes in some way (A1, A2, B1, B2,B3 etc) - much easier to keep track of things especially if one box (or items) go walkabout.

We had two numbered boxes disappear with the movers and having the boxes sequenced made the discussion so much easier.

Really missed the small electric beater and other occasionally used kitchen bits and pieces, one back-up can opener sorely missed as well.
