Top Three Holiday Photos

The second last trip taken. Vanuatu for last New Year's Eve. We chose well with where we stayed - Breaka's Beach Resort. Just didn't want to or need to step outside the walls.

Skagway to Whitehorse 2010. Not sure if it is still possible but we travelled with the road mail van. Only 1 other passenger for the first leg to Fraser. Second leg the other passenger was the train narrator/guide who was returning to Whitehorse. Had a stop at Carcross & passed the worlds smallest desert (Carcross).

i'm up to 3000+ plus slides, photos and colour negatives so far! Using (a quite old but excellent) Epson Perfection 4990 photo flat bed scanner. (Has Digital Ice as well for cough removal.)

I did some scanning of some 800 archived school photos from negatives from the school's photographer from 80's and 90's for MrsTMA a few weeks back and got the bug so decided to scan all our old stuff as well "Gives life meaning" I keep telling myself.

I've scanned photos etc lots of times before and an very impressed with the quality of the output.

I can't really show any of the school photos for privacy reasons but I guess this one should be ok since none of the students are identifiable I think. This is a Kodachrome slide from the late 80's.

edit: this really is a stunning image. (Copyright J.Dale. All Rights Reserved.)

SNAP! - 2015. Below, Pushback enjoys a romp on the glacier; Another wing framed mountain, and Waypoint gets the prized seat on the way home! Talkeetna Air Taxis. Did you get to meet the Mayor? We did, he is a cat, who has his own chair in the pub!View attachment 219992
Good effort. One down. Edit. Select insert for the other two as well.

Didn't meet the mayor, but your comment brought back a vague recollection of hearing about it somewhere.

Cochem Germany-located on the Mosel. Great location, plenty of transport links, half- timbered squares, walking wine and food while overlooked by Reichsburg Castle. Some great apartments right on the river
